Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make Strawberry Iced Tea combining the rich flavors of Earl Grey or Black tea with fresh strawberries and a hint of citrus, sweetened to taste. Perfect for a cool, revitalizing drink on warm days.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 4 teabags (Earl Grey or Black tea)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 cups ice

Fruit and Sweetener

  • 2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 lime or lemon (juiced)
  • SPLENDA ZERO™ Liquid Sweetener or regular granulated sugar (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tea: Place 4 teabags into 2 cups of boiling water and allow them to steep until the tea is strongly brewed.
  2. Prepare the Strawberry Mixture: In a bowl or directly in the pitcher, add 2 1/2 cups of sliced strawberries, the juice of 1 lime or lemon, and about 4 squirts of SPLENDA ZERO™ Liquid Sweetener (or sugar to your taste). Use a masher to press the strawberries, releasing their juices and enhancing the flavor.
  3. Combine Tea and Ingredients: Pour the steeped tea along with the strawberries and citrus juice into a pitcher. Add 2 cups of cold water and ice, then stir well until everything is thoroughly mixed. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Serve: Pour the strawberry iced tea into glasses filled with ice and enjoy the refreshing beverage immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute regular sugar with any preferred sweetener based on dietary needs.
  • Steeping time can vary depending on how strong you want the tea flavor.
  • Using fresh strawberries enhances the flavor, but frozen can be used in a pinch.
  • For an adult twist, consider adding a splash of your favorite spirit like vodka or rum.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and refreshing quality.
