Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Reuben Slider Sandwiches featuring thinly sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island dressing layered on sweet Hawaiian rolls and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for parties, game day, or a quick satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Slider Assembly

  • 12 Slider rolls (preferably sweet Hawaiian)
  • 3/4 pound thinly sliced corned beef
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained well
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

Topping Spread

  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1.5 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • 1.5 teaspoons Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare the Slider Bases: Slice open the slider rolls and carefully separate the tops from the bottoms, keeping the bottoms together as a slab. Arrange the bottom halves evenly in a casserole dish to form the base layer.
  3. Layer Corned Beef: Place 1 ½ slices of thinly sliced corned beef on each bottom roll, folding the meat into squares to ensure an even and hearty layer.
  4. Add Swiss Cheese: Lay slices of Swiss cheese evenly over the corned beef layer on each slider.
  5. Mix and Layer Sauerkraut Dressing: In a small bowl, combine the 1/2 cup of Thousand Island dressing with the well-drained sauerkraut. Spread this mixture evenly over the cheese on each slider.
  6. Prepare Topping Spread: In a separate small bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and remaining Thousand Island dressing until smooth. Spread a thin layer of this mixture on the underside of each slider roll top.
  7. Assemble Sliders: Place the top halves of the rolls onto the sauerkraut layer, pressing gently to form sandwiches.
  8. Bake the Sliders: Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Make sure to drain the sauerkraut thoroughly to prevent the sliders from becoming soggy.
  • Using sweet Hawaiian rolls adds a nice sweetness that balances the savory flavors.
  • You can substitute Swiss cheese with Gruyère for a slightly nuttier flavor.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
