Description
This creamy and delicious banana milkshake combines ripe bananas, vanilla ice cream, and a hint of cinnamon with milk and vanilla extract for a perfectly smooth and refreshing treat. Easy to make in just minutes, it’s a great way to enjoy a classic dessert or snack with a tropical twist.
Ingredients
Shake Ingredients
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon (a dash) ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 3 giant scoops vanilla ice cream
For Serving
- Whipped cream
- Dried banana chips
Instructions
- Slice the banana: Peel and cut the ripe banana into 1-inch slices, then add them to the bottom of your blender to form the base of the shake.
- Add liquids and flavorings: Pour in the milk, vanilla extract, sprinkle in the ground cinnamon, and add the lemon juice over the sliced bananas in the blender.
- Add ice cream and blend: Top the mixture with three large scoops of vanilla ice cream. Blend everything together on high until you achieve a very smooth and creamy texture. If the shake is too thick or cold and won’t blend smoothly, add small splashes of milk to loosen it up.
- Serve: Pour the banana milkshake evenly into two glasses. Garnish with whipped cream and dried banana chips for a delightful presentation and an added crunch.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the sweetest and creamiest shake.
- You can substitute the milk with any plant-based milk to make it dairy-free.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg or more cinnamon for extra warmth.
- If you prefer a thicker shake, use frozen bananas instead of fresh.
- Adjust the amount of ice cream based on your desired creaminess and sweetness.
