Description

This Basil Balsamic Vinaigrette is a fresh and tangy dressing perfect for salads, marinades, or drizzling over roasted vegetables. Combining the sweetness of honey with the bright flavors of white balsamic vinegar and fresh basil, this vinaigrette is easy to prepare in just 5 minutes using a blender or immersion blender.

Ingredients

Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup neutral flavored oil such as Grapeseed or Avocado Oil
  • 2 Tbsp White Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 10 large leaves Fresh Basil, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine liquids and seasoning: Place the neutral oil, white balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper into a bowl if using an immersion blender, or directly into a standard blender.
  2. Add fresh basil and blend: Roughly chop the basil leaves and add them to the mixture. Blend until the vinaigrette is smooth and emulsified. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed before serving.

Notes

  • Use a neutral-flavored oil like grapeseed or avocado oil for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of honey depending on your preferred level of sweetness.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake or stir well before each use.
  • Great as a salad dressing, marinade for chicken or vegetables, or drizzle over grilled dishes.
